The Bournemouth Youth Theatre offers students professional training in performing arts. The BYT team are industry professionals, with many years experience in their specialist field. 

 

The BYT builds the foundations to work successfully within their chosen career. We take great pride as a school in training our students to work respectfully with professional conduct and to be a good team-player. Engaging with our students in a way that mirrors a theatre company. We encourage supportive collaboration, confidence and self-belief; where long-lasting friendships and positive working relationships develop.

 

The BYT shares the same core values of current casting directors and producers; harnessing not just their talent but encouraging ‘kindness, integrity and passion’, to learn at the early stages of their training to ‘listen to one another, take direction, have confidence and to believe in themselves’ - ‘that is what makes a family and a family makes a show what it is.’- The Stage 06/06/19

Many of The BYT alumni students have continued to pursue a career in the performing arts; going straight into professional work, such as Disneyland Paris, or continuing their professional training at schools such as: Laine Theatre Arts, Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts, Rose Bruford, National Youth Theatre and Guildford School of Acting to name a few.
